I got the fried fish and shrimp with a loaded potato. It was ok. Not bad. Not stellar. I'm picky about fried food. The complimentary vegetable soup and bread was delicious! I will return again to try some other great looking dishes in the future. I went for lunch but see this place as a good spot for a date.

Food is always delicious here. Service was a bit slower than expected though. Not sure if that is typical or if they were short staffed. I hadn't been there in years. Friendly raccoons outside. They will take food from you if you let. Poor Boy's riverside inn is not cheap but you get what you pay for. qi recommend for out of towners and locals.

The chicken & andouille sausage gumbo was delicious and very authentic. The crawfish dinner platter was also delicious. Most of the items were deep fried except for the salad and etouffee. The crawfish bisque was a cream style bisque and was good although I prefer a traditional brown roux based bisque. We were a little disappointed in the sweet potato begnets as they were too sweet for our palate.

Wonderful experience, but mind the raccoons! We had a great time. The food, drinks, and dessert were all fantastic. The service was top notch. I made the mistake of leaning on the rail outside and was bitten by a raccoon. It was a little terrifying at first, but also hilarious. We had a great time and will be back. I'll just keep an eye on those sneaky raccoons.

Riverside's Cottage hosted my sister's wedding last night and it couldn't have turned out better! The venue was beautiful, the food was amazingly delicious, but the staff blew my mind! Ms. Rhea helped me through the planning process, the owners, Richard and Lori showed up to greet us at the wedding and then Dolly and Spencer took care of the food and bar and us! I can't express how wonderful it is to know that there are still restaurants that treat patrons with such care and attention. Top Notch!!!! Thank you!

The coolest restaurant with the best food, service, and vibes. It's a comfortable, yet upscale environment. The kids menu has a good selection, as well as the adult menu, of course. All of our food was excellent.

Huge cabin-style dining area filled with art, plants, & a lots of seating featuring redefined cajun cuisine. Started with half-grilled-half-fried alligator bites and crab cake balls. The seasonings were delicious. Ordered crab & mushroom stuffed red fish and the pork chop dinner. The seafood was quality, flavorful, and cooked properly. Finished with sweet potato beignets! And bread pudding! Both so sweet and so good.

I was highly impressed my first time here. The food was fantastic. The ambiance was great. The view fantastic. Super friendly trash pandas was an added bonus for this animal rescuer. No complaint. Oh, and the drinks are strong!
